England and Ireland - 2002.

Dad prepares to catch the cake. This is Alan Francome - Dad, Grandad and plumber. Here he is at Micky and Jo's house in Newmarket. Aunty Beryl and Eleanor can be seen concentrating their attention on the chocolate cake.
Here's Erin! Whizzing down an icy slope - not in Switzerland or the Arctic, but in Belfast (which can sometimes feel like the Arctic). This was at Santa Land, December 2002 - fun but a bit expensive (that was Erin's verdict anyway). Below you can see one of Santa's Little Helpers making dinner.

Erin's First Communion - Looking beautiful in her dress and pictured here with her younger cousin (that red hair will surely feature in an advert for the Irish Tourist Board, sooner or later).
Erin's Sports Report - Skating, swimming, even go-karting - it is all in a day's work for Erin. The left-hand picture shows Erin in the pool at Tain Holiday Village. Right is Erin skating away from her Dad (skating and taking pictures at the same time is not easy) at the ice rink in Swindon. And below is Erin enjoying the thrill of motor racing at Clara Lara Funpark in County Wicklow.
Clara Lara - this is Ireland's answer to Disneyland! Clara Lara Park in County Wicklow - lots of water based rides and activities, as well as stuff like go-karting. Erin took an early bath as she slipped off the rope swing and into the water. But she quickly recovered and was racing around the track before you could say "Michael Schumacher". Below are the girls together; (from left) Erin, Cassie (known to Interpol as 'Cassandra'), Aisling and Maria.

Swindon - (above) who is taking who for a walk? Sniffy the Wonder-Dog!

Swindon - (left) Miss Eleanor Fenton smiles for the camera. (Right) here's the whole gang - Alan, Mark, Erin, Eleanor, Carmel (Erin's Granny), Jo and Aunty Beryl. Micky is crouched down in front (I think he's riding an invisible Shetland Pony).
Swindon - (left) Erin, Eleanor and Micky at the playground (next to Jo's old school!). (Right) It's an Ellie-copter - here Erin, Eleanor and Mark are at Legoland in Windsor. A note for parents - before getting on these rides please ensure there's enough room for your legs to fit under the safety bar (or be prepared for 6 minutes of agony while no blood reaches the lower half of your body).
